SOLAR PROJECTS

The WBPDCL stepped into solar power generation with a 40 KW Rooftop Solar PV Plant at Bidyut Unnayan Bhaban in the year 2014. With the success of this small venture, WBPDCL has entered in solar power generation in a big way by installing rooftop, ground mounted as well as floating Solar PV Plants.

In the year 2018, 2 X 3 KW Solar Tree was installed at Bidyut Unnayan Bhaban.

Rooftop Solar PV Plants have been installed on the roofs of 71 buildings of its power plants. Total cumulative capacity of Roof Top Solar PV plant is 10.54 MWp considering all its Thermal Power Plants.

Present installed Ground mounted Solar PV plant is 10.00 MWp and Floating Solar PV plant is 5.00 MWp

Sagardighi Thermal Power Project (SgTPP)

10 MW AC Grid Connected Ground mounted Solar PV project. Completed.

3.511 MWp Rooftop Solar PV Plant Project Completed.

5 MW AC Grid Connected Floating Solar PV project at Raw Water Pond No. 3, SgTPP has been commissioned which is at present highest capacity floating PV project in India

10 MW Grid Connected Floating Solar Project at Raw Water Pond #1 & #2 is under execution.

10 MW Grid Connected Floating Solar PV Project at Raw Water Pond #4 & 5 is under execution.

Bakreswar Thermal Power Station (BkTPS)

2.866 MWp Rooftop mounted Solar PV projects – Completed.

10 MW Grid Connected Floating Solar PV Project at Raw Water Pond #1 & 2 is under execution.

Kolaghat Thermal Power Station (KTPS)

2.27 MWp Rooftop mounted Solar PV project – Completed.

Bandel Thermal Power Station(BTPS)

1.08 MWp Rooftop mounted Solar PV project. – Completed.

Santaldih Thermal Power Station (STPS)

0.807 MWp Rooftop mounted Solar PV project. – Completed.

A combined 7.5 MW Grid Connected Floating Solar PV Project at Raw Water Pond #5 and Dutta bandh is under execution.

2 X10 MW Grid Connected Ground mounted Solar PV Project is under execution.
