Activities

• After obtaining all statutory permissions, coal production has been started from Barjore Coal Mine since Apr-2018 and from Barjora (North) Coal Mine since May-2019.
• Pachhwara(North) and Gangaramchak & Gangaramchak-Bhadulia have also been re-opened.
• Coal production from Pachhwara(North) Coal Mine is expected to start from 13-November-2019 and coal production from Gangaramchak & Gangaramchak-Bhadulia Coal Mine is expected to start from January 2019.
• For Tara (East) & Tara (West) Coal Mine, completion of all necessary formalities, like obtaining statutory approvals, are in final stage. Coal production is expected from March 2020.
• Kasta (East) Coal Mine is a schedule – III coal mine allocated to WBPDCL . While preparing Mining Plan it has been observed that the mine is having abnormal high stripping ratio of 1:16 for OC method . Further evaluation is under process for economic viability.
• Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) has been selected for all coal mines except Kasta (East) Coal Mine for which selection of MDO will be done at a suitable stage later.
• For Deocha-Pachmi-Harinsingha-Dewanganj Coal Block, estimated reserve is around 2100 MT. Detailed exploration & preparation of Geological Report will be started after the issuance of the allotment Order by Ministry of Coal, Government of India.
