Dear Colleague,

Be proud! In Thermal Power Plant performance we have been ranked the best, and we are leading the Nation! At the outset, I am delighted in extending my best wishes to you and your family members. We have come to the end of this fiscal 2022-23 with a big bang and want to thank you for showing such level of zeal and passion towards our organization in exceeding our targets and make us proud.

For the first time in history, three of our plants secured three spots in the top five positions in the PLF based rankings out of the total 205 thermal power station operating in India. Bakreswar TPS (PLF 92.38%) stood 1st followed by Santaldih TPS (91.34%) and Sagardighi TPP (89.39%) in 2nd and 5th position respectively in national standings based on PLF ranking by Central Electricity Authority, MoP, GOI.

WBPDCL has recorded a gross generation of 31.85 BU with a PLF of 85.36% and a growth of 33% over the last two fiscal. We ranked number one among all the major thermal entities in the Public Sector, as well as, Private & Joint Sectors including Tata Power, Adani Power, Reliance Power, etc. Our profitability has gone up three fold. Major turnaround has been observed in Bandel TPS and Kolaghat TPS as well.

Enhanced production and dispatch of coal from our own mines to WBPDCL plants contributed a lot in achieving this performance besides all the excellent O&M practices being followed by you all. WBPDCL produced 18.65 MMT coal from its own mines in this year which is 60% more over the last year.

I would like to take this opportunity to convey my sincere thanks to all of you along with your family, for leading & executing such exemplary services and commitment in work without which it would not have been possible to reach here. Your hard work has ensured uninterrupted quality electricity at a much reduced price to the people of West Bengal.

I wish and hope that in the coming years we will continue to perform in all spheres as a team and continue to excel with such laurels that make us all proud.

এখন গর্বিত হওয়ার সময়! দি ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল পাওয়ার ডেভেলপমেন্ট কর্পোরেশন লিমিটেড তার তাপবিদ্যুৎ প্রকল্পগুলির কর্মদক্ষতায় ভারতবর্ষে শ্রেষ্ঠ গণ্য হয়েছে এবং দেশকে নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছে। তাই শুরুতেই আমি আপনাদের এবং আপনাদের পরিবারের সমস্ত সদস্যদের আমার শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। আমরা বিরাট আলোড়ন ফেলে ২০২২-২৩ অর্থবর্ষ শেষ করতে পেরেছি। আমাদের এই প্রিয় প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতি আপনাদের এই বিপুল উৎসাহ আর উদ্দীপনার মাধ্যমে লক্ষ্যমাত্রাকে অতিক্রম করে যাওয়ার জন্য আমি আপনাদের সকলকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই।

ইতিহাসে এই প্রথম ডব্লুবিপিডিসিল-এর তিনটি তাপবিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন কেন্দ্র ভারতবর্ষের ২০৫টি সচল তাপবিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন কেন্দ্রের পিএলএফ-এর নিরিখে দেশের সেরা পাঁচটি তাপবিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন কেন্দ্রের মধ্যে স্থান করে নিয়েছে। ভারত সরকারের বিদ্যুৎ মন্ত্রক অধীনস্থ কেন্দ্রীয় বিদ্যুৎ কর্তৃপক্ষ (সিইও) প্রদন্ত রাঙ্কিং অনুযায়ী বক্রেশ্বর তাপবিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র (পিএলএফ ৯২.৩৮%) প্রথম, সাওতালডি তাপবিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র (পিএলএফ ৯১.৩৪%) দ্বিতীয় এবং সাগরদীঘি তাপবিদ্যুৎ প্রকল্প (পিএলএফ ৮৯.৩৯%) পঞ্চম স্থান অধিকার করেছে।

বিগত দুই অর্থবর্ষে ডব্লুবিপিডিসিল রেকর্ড ৩১.৮৫ বিলিয়ন ইউনিট বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন করেছে যেখানে আমাদের পিএলএফ ৮৫.৩৬% এবং বৃদ্ধির পরিমাণ ৩৩%। সমস্ত উল্লেখযোগ্য সরকারী, বেসরকারী এবং যুগ্ম ক্ষেত্রের তাপবিদ্যুৎ সংস্থাগুলি যেমন টাটা পাওয়ার, আদানী পাওয়ার, রিলায়েন্স পাওয়ার প্রভৃতির মধ্যে ডব্লুবিপিডিসিল শীর্ষ স্থান নিয়েছে। আমাদের লাভজনক সূচকও প্রায় তিনগুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। ব্যান্ডেল তাপবিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র এবং কোলাঘাট তাপবিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র দুটিও উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে ঘুরে দাঁড়িয়েছে।

ডব্লুবিপিডিসিল-এর নিজস্ব কয়লা খনিগুলি থেকে উন্নত কয়লা উৎপাদন ও ডব্লুবিপিডিসিল-এর বিভিন্ন তাপবিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রগুলিতে তার প্রেরণ এবং আপনাদের দ্বারা অনুসারিত প্রশংসনীয় ও আন্ড এম পদ্ধতিগুলি এই কর্মদক্ষতায় পৌছতে সহায়ক হয়েছে। ডব্লুবিপিডিসিল তার নিজস্ব কয়লা খনিগুলি থেকে ১৮.৬৫ মিলিয়ন মেট্রিক টন কয়লা আহরণ করেছে যা গত বছরের তুলনায় ৬০% বেশি।

আপনাদের সকলের সক্রিয় সহযোগিতা, একাস্ত প্রচেষ্টা এবং উল্লেখযোগ্য পরিষেবা প্রদানের জনা আমরা আজ এই শীর্ষ স্থানে এসে পৌছেছি - এই উপলক্ষ্যে আমি আপনাদের ও আপনাদের পরিবারবর্গের প্রতি আস্তরিক ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করি। আপনাদের নিরলস পরিশ্রম নিশ্চিত করেছে যে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের জনগণ স্বল্প ব্যয়ে উচ্চগুণগত মানের নিরবচ্ছিন্ন বিদ্যুৎ পরিষেবা পেয়েছে।

আশা করি আগামী দিনগুলিতেও আমরা সমস্ত ক্ষেত্রে এভাবেই ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে কাজ করে যাবো যাতে এই ধরণের খ্যাতি অর্জন অব্যাহত থাকে ও আমাদের গর্বিত করতে থাকে।

Dear Colleagues,

On 24-Jun-2019, I joined West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd. and joined all of you in this large family. On this occasion I extend my sincere wishes to all of you and your family.

This company is the largest power generating company in the state. As you all know, in the past year, our company has faced various problems in the field of daily work for various reasons, such as the depletion of coal and consumption of production.

For the determination and hard work of all of you, we have been able to keep the flow of power generation constant for the people of the state bypassing these obstacles. We have been able to maintain the reputation of our Company.

With the active participation and cooperation of all of you, we have been able to successfully fulfill our duties and responsibilities to the people of the State in the coming days.

Let us be committed to making WBPDCL one of the most significant power generating companies in the country with strong commitment and persistence in our path. All of you stay healthy, be good.

আমাদের এই প্রতিষ্ঠান রাজ্যের বৃহত্তম বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনকারী সংস্থা । আপনারা সকলে জানেন যে বিগত বছর বিভিন্ন কারণে, যেমন কয়লার যোগান কমে যাওয়া এবং তার কারণে উৎপাদন মাত্রা হ্রাস পাওয়া ইত্যাদির জন্য দৈনন্দিন কাজের ক্ষেত্রে আমাদের সংস্থাকে নানারকম সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হতে হয়েছে ।

আপনাদের সকলের দৃঢ় সংকল্প ও কঠোর পরিশ্রমের জন্যই এই সব বাধা বিপত্তি অতিক্রম করে রাজ্যের মানুষের জন্য আমরা বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন এর ধারা নিরবচ্ছিন্ন রাখতে সক্ষম হয়েছি । সক্ষম হয়েছি আমাদের প্রিয় প্রতিষ্ঠানের সুনাম অক্ষুন্ন রাখতে ।
